In a heartfelt celebration of dedication, compassion, and clinical excellence, Wockhardt Hospitals,marked International Nurses Day across its facilities in Mira Road, Mumbai Central, Rajkot, and Nagpur. As part of the celebrations, Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd launched “My Patient, My Idea”—a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at empowering nurses to share innovative ideas that enhance patient care, improve experiences, and reduce healthcare costs. Recognizing nurses as frontline problem solvers, the initiative echoes the 2025 International Nurses Day theme, “Caring for Nurses, Strengthening Economies.” It provides a platform to acknowledge and reward the creativity, insight, and dedication of nursing professionals, reinforcing their pivotal role in driving meaningful change within healthcare systems.
More than 950 nurses participated in the week-long festivities, which included meaningful ceremonies and vibrant activities designed to honor and uplift the nursing community.
The celebration began with nurses uniting to sing the Wockhardt Anthem and recite the Nursing Pledge, reinforcing their shared mission of patient care. A special tribute was paid to nursing leaders, recognizing their tireless service and leadership.
The events also featured creative competitions such as poster drawing, singing, and talent showcases, offering nurses a platform to express themselves beyond their professional roles. These interactive sessions helped nurture camaraderie, creativity, and a sense of belonging among nursing teams. In a heartfelt gesture, nurses who achieved significant service milestones were awarded gold coins by the respective hospital Chiefs, symbolizing Wockhardt’s deep appreciation for their long-standing commitment and impact.
Ms. Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Managing Director of Wockhardt Hospitals, emphasized “Investing in the professional development and well-being of nurses is paramount to ensuring quality patient care. At Wockhardt, we provide ongoing training, mentorship, and educational support to empower nurses in their careers. Equally, we prioritize the wellness of our nurses with initiatives like mental health support, wellness days, and programs that promote work-life balance.”
Dr. Parag Rindani, CEO of Wockhardt Hospitals, echoed the sentiment: “Our nurses are the backbone of our healthcare delivery.
