LISSUN, one of India’s leading mental health platforms, has announced that its specialized child development and therapy division, Sunshine by LISSUN, has touched the lives of more than 10,000 children in just two years since its inception. From its first centre in Delhi in 2023, it has grown into a robust network of 20 centres across seven states and eight major cities and is on track to achieve its 50th centre milestone before World Mental Health Day 2026.

Sunshine by LISSUN offers diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and rehabilitation programs through a multidisciplinary team of child psychologists, special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and ABA therapists. The centres address a wide spectrum of developmental and behavioural challenges, focusing especially on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)—two of the most prevalent yet underdiagnosed neurodevelopmental conditions among Indian children. The program also supports children with developmental delays, global developmental delay (GDD), speech and language difficulties, and behavioural issues, while guiding families on emotional and social wellbeing to help children build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.

Speaking during a press interaction organized as part of Mental Health Week in Delhi, Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, Co-founder & CEO of LISSUN, said, “The journey of Sunshine reflects the growing recognition of child mental health in India. From one centre in Delhi to 20 across the country, we have focused on creating safe, structured environments for children and their families to help them through this journey. Our aim is to impart more than 1 lakh counselling sessions by 2026, ensuring that quality mental health support becomes accessible to every child who needs it.”

The Sunshine network now has centres in Delhi (Dwarka, Patel Nagar, East of Kailash, Pitampura), Gurgaon (Sector 51, Railway Road), Pune (Viman Nagar, Magarpatta), Lucknow (Ashiyana, Gomti Nagar), Hyderabad (Banjara Hills), Bangalore (Bellandur, Brookfield, Whitefield, Indiranagar, Varthur), Noida (Sector 121, Indirapuram, Sector 141), and Jaipur (Nirman Nagar). With a strong network of over 125 trained professionals, Sunshine by Lissun is collaborating closely with top schools and hospitals. Each centre caters to around

600 cases every month, collectively supporting more than 10,000 children as we celebrate the Mental Health Awareness week. Looking ahead, the new centres will target cities where the demand for child developmental and mental health services is growing, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Mumbai, further expanding Sunshine’s reach and impact.

The most adopted interventions at Sunshine include Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), and Individualized Education Plans (IEP). These interventions have led to measurable improvements in communication, focus, daily living skills, and classroom participation. Structured care plans, regular follow-ups, and parent guidance ensure sustained progress for every child.

Dr. Preeti Singh, Chief Medical Officer at LISSUN, said, “Mental health is a vast and sensitive area, and conditions like ADHD and autism are far more common than most people realize. Unfortunately, a lack of awareness means many parents identify these issues only when it’s too late for early intervention. Through Sunshine, we’re enabling timely diagnosis and therapy, which can make a life-changing difference during a child’s formative years.”

Tarun Gupta, Director and Co-founder of LISSUN, added, “We recognized early on how large the gap in child mental healthcare in India was and the urgent need for scalable, sustainable solutions. Through LISSUN’s phygital (physical + digital) model, Sunshine combines advanced technology with high-quality physical infrastructure to deliver holistic, affordable, and accessible therapy. Our mission is to empower every child and family with the right tools, support, and guidance to thrive emotionally and socially.”

India is home to an estimated 30–35 million children facing developmental and mental health challenges, yet access to specialized care remains limited. The gap between need and awareness continues to widen, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. New-age mental health platforms like LISSUN are helping bridge this divide by integrating technology, professional expertise, and accessible physical infrastructure to make mental health services available at scale.
