Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre continuing its mission to serve communities organized a two-day health checkup camp at Jabri village near the Line of Control (LOC) in Kashmir. The camp was attended by XX locals from the village.

The camp provided complete health screenings, including blood pressure assessments, blood glucose testing for diabetes, and anemia screening. Based on individual health concerns a multidisciplinary team from general medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and ENT provided consultations. The camp also included health awareness session about various other dental, ear, nose, mouth and children specific conditions and their signs, symptoms, and the importance of early and timely diagnosis of the diseases, followed by addressing queries of the attendees on the subject. The individuals who required additional screening or treatment were guided to visit healthcare facilities for further care.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Rajiv Mehta, Permanent Trustee for Life, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, said, “Lilavati Hospital is committed to making healthcare accessible to communities where access to healthcare facilities may be limited. Communities living in remote areas like Jabri can face challenges in accessing regular healthcare services, making it important to bring essential medical support closer to them. Through this program we hope to raise awareness around early diagnosis, making screening easily accessible to all. Our hospital is committed to support public health initiatives that prioritize prevention, and we encourage everyone to follow a healthy lifestyle for a better tomorrow.”

Commenting on the collaboration Rouble Nagi, founder at the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF) said,” At Rouble Nagi Art Foundation, we believe that community development goes beyond education and includes the overall well-being of people. Through this initiative, we aim to extend essential healthcare support to underserved communities and make quality medical services more accessible to those who need them.”

This screening camp for the community from Jabri village will go a long way in empowering them to take control of their health while reinforcing the hospitals commitment to focus on expanding healthcare access to communities across India.
