AIG Hospitals Launches ‘The Pink Question’ Campaign to Create a Safe Space for Unspoken Breast Health Concerns

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AIG Hospitals has introduced The Pink Question, an initiative designed to create a safe, anonymous space for people to ask questions about breast health that they may otherwise hesitate to voice.

The Pink Question aims to bridge this gap by moving beyond simply telling people what they should know and instead asking them what they want to know. Recognising that factors such as embarrassment, social stigma, fear of judgement or uncertainty can sometimes prevent people from seeking reliable medical guidance, the initiative offers an anonymous question box at the hospital and an online submission form throughout October. People can raise concerns about breast changes, symptoms, screening, diagnosis, treatment and recovery without revealing their identity. By focusing on the question rather than the identity of the person asking it, the campaign encourages a more open and informed approach to breast health.

In a world where answers are just a search away, The Pink Question offers something more personal and that is clinically reviewed guidance from medical experts that addresses people’s questions with the context and care they deserve. Questions submitted through the campaign will be addressed by doctors through videos and digital educational content, bringing reliable answers to concerns that are often left unspoken. By bringing these conversations into the open, the initiative hopes to help more people find clarity, overcome hesitation and make informed decisions about their health.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Pragnya Chigurupati, Consultant Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon, AIG Hospitals , said, “Sometimes, the first step towards better breast health is simply asking a question, and no concern should go unasked or unanswered. Through ‘The Pink Question,’ we want to remove the hesitation around these conversations and ensure that people feel comfortable voicing their concerns and receive reliable medical guidance, turning every question into an opportunity for awareness, understanding and timely care.”

One can submit their question by clicking https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/8hSceyYVkU or visiting AIG Hospitals, Gachibowli.

By encouraging people to ask questions they may otherwise hesitate to voice, The Pink Question aims to make seeking reliable breast health guidance a more comfortable first step. This is complemented by the AIG Breast Health Centre, an exclusive, all-women centre that offers women a private and supportive environment to seek care for breast-related and gynaecological concerns. With specialised diagnostic facilities, evaluation and treatment services, the centre provides a pathway from questions and concerns to appropriate medical care.

Because sometimes, the most important step towards better health begins with a question.
