TISS to host 22nd Clairvoyance: An Ode to Health
School of Health Systems Studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences will be hosting the 22nd edition of their flagship knowledge-exchange annual conference, Clairvoyance, on 7 and 8 December 2019. Like every year, it will be held at the TISS campus and attended by accomplished professionals and students in medical, health and healthcare sectors from across the country.
The theme for the conference ‘An Ode to Health: Charting the course, Navigating the Future’ aims at laying out a plan which will help to build diverse healthcare frameworks and ignite inspiration for system-wide success. This will be explored in six sessions.

Health Legislations & Policies: Fingers Crossed
New policies and legislation like NMC, Ayushman Bharat, NHP, CEA, and more, have rapidly changed the face of healthcare in India. The topic will discuss how them, their effect on the system as well future prospects.
Climate Change: Changing Weather, Withering Health
The discussion on the direct and indirect effect of climate change on the population's health and its complexity, with India's unique geography, diverse population and high carbon-related energy dependence. Is India ready to face the challenge? Does it have enough resources in terms of existing and future policies & programs addressing mitigation and adaption?
UHC: Myth or Reality
This session will dissect Ayushman Bharat, debate on the initiative’s ability to deliver the high-quality care, explore its feasibility, sustenance and potential challenges.
Managing Human Resource: A Herculean Task
The topic is aimed at exploring strategies to tackle shortage of healthcare workers, higher turnover, increased burn-outs, workforce migration, quality training and inclusion of diversity, all of which pose a major challenge to the healthcare industry.
Technology in Healthcare: The Tipping Point
This discussion will try to reflect upon some of the most promising technologies like AI, IoMT, Virtual Reality, Block chain and chatbots among others to streamline healthcare procedures and systems.
Health Service Operations: A See-Saw game between Innovation & Efficiency
The session will shed light on new innovative models to enhance system-wide operations management to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.
